Despite being a reliable presence in the midfield ever since joining Spurs from Southampton, Hojbjerg has found playing time difficult under Ange Postecoglou.
Majority of his performances have come from the bench with the Australian preferring Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma as the proffered midfield duo.
Considering limited opportunities in England, Hojbjerg eyes a move to Serie A, where clubs like Juventus and Napoli have expressed interest in securing his services.
While Spurs are open to Hojbjerg’s departure, they favor a loan with an obligation to buy. This arrangement doesn’t resonate with Napoli, but Juventus remains interested.
The €25 million price tag and a permanent deal are Spurs’ demands, leaving negotiations open as Juventus seeks to fill midfield gaps in the absence of players like Paul Pogba and Nicolo Fagioli.
Of course, a lot will depend whether Spurs can successfully sign a new midfielder in the upcoming window with them strongly linked with Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips.
