CalcioMercato believe that AC Milan are now waiting for an official bid from Tottenham Hotspur for Krzysztof Piątek, after a loan offer was declined.
They loan without obligation to buy strategy appears to be a softening of Levy’s usual approach of taking inexpensive punts in the hope for outcomes that either include on field success and/or profit.
This guy is a number #9, an actual striker, in contrast to PSV Eindhoven’s Steven Bergwijn, who is versatile, but essentially an attacking winger. Which only serves to confuse me and perhaps others.
If reports are correct, and PSV and AC Milan are both only seeking €30million, surely Krzysztof is the better bet, given our ongoing striker situation?

Elsewhere. Christian Eriksen landed in Italy to a fair amount of commotion which appeared to be heavily supplied by members of the press.
Details of the final deal have been guessed at endlessly, so this blog will wait patiently for the complete terms to be formally announced.
3yrs the last 2 were rubbish.
I agree with right position remark – but disagree with the rest. At this point, as a team, cant afford a flop. We may as well write off the season, and if we do, I wonder if the fans will get charged full whack? of course they will. Think about it this way, you are a club with a great, enthusiastic, young striker, capable of stepping up to the PL, do you A) develop said player, or B) bring in an over priced (based on wages) player, in his late 30’s that has spent 9months in the US and sell young player for pennies on the pound? They brought in Zlatan because they have no faith this kid will be anything more than he already is, or they want him to hone his craft under one of the modern greats – either way, this player wont come to us, or shouldn’t come to us.
yeah, I am talking 21. 24 is basically coming into prime, so should almost be peak value.
If this dude is not worth £30m we shouldn’t be buying him anyway!! I would say any player less than £50m should be only if young and for the future. We need a ready made striker that will give Kane a run for his money, not Llorente mark 2.
Milan demand straight cash, someone must have been talking to them about how you deal with our leader. Watching Mourinho post Southampton contrasting the riches of their bench compared to the poverty of his options, as he puts it his lack of solutions. We’re talking about the difference between a Champions League club and a midtable outfit. He never misses a chance to subtly show up the inadequacies of the club, trying to point our dear leader in the right direction.
with reports of Lamela/Piatek swap deal, maybe Bergwjin is the Lamela replacement?
Bergwjin and Piatek or Coco? Which would you rather?
Everyone on this blog knows what he should be doing, but he doesn’t and never will. That’s Levy. And things won’t change as long as ENIC own the football club. We’re screwed and a laughing stock.
Lukaku rubbing his hands. Lukaku. Get out of there mate. They think you’re a primate
Laters Eriksen! Thanks for the first 4-5yrs of your service.
