Pep prepared to make Harry Kane his new goal machine

Manchester City will give Pep Guardiola money to sign a new striker as a replacement for Sergio Aguero this season and he has his eyes on Harry Kane.

City has won another Premier League title and is competing in the final of the Champions League later this month.

But Tottenham is ending this season on a poor note and almost certainly outside the Premier League’s top four.

The Lilywhites have enjoyed the talents of Kane throughout his career, yet his amazing goal-scoring record hasn’t been enough to help them win a major trophy.

The England captain is now expected to leave Tottenham when the transfer window reopens and City is one of his suitors.

The Times say Guardiola has drawn a four-man shortlist of strikers whom he wants to replace Aguero with.

Kane, alongside Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund, Lautaro Martinez of Inter Milan and Andre Silva of Eintracht Frankfurt are all on his radar.

City will hope to win the Champions League, but even if they lose the final to Chelsea, they will still add a new striker to their team when the transfer window reopens.

Spurs will want Kane to give them one more season, but they will unlikely stand in his way if he asks to leave them.
