"To say he's taken it as far as he can, I find quite staggering."
"I lay most of the blame at the board and the chairman's door."
Brilliant from #THFC fan @PaulHawksbee on the situation at Spurs. ? pic.twitter.com/HTuIgSczdA
talkSPORT is undoubtedly a successful vehicle for white van man advertising, but it’s a channel I gave up an awful long time ago as it all became a little too shouty.
Paul Hawksbee absolutely nails the situation at Spurs here, though.
The ‘art of the deal’ line is all to painfully true. Levy is a penny wise pound foolish pilchard and will never ever understand that the football must come first.
Anyone still defending this charlatan – needs help.
I am no fan of Levy he needed to go years ago , but I’m not for all this Pochettino is blameless.
The poor old Poch nonsense , the victim.
He’s been more than complicit in it all , been happy to lap up the plaudits , been happy to lie through his teeth and treat fans with contempt , happy to sign his bumper deal , happy with his squad that couldn’t be improved……
The guy has to take some blame , it hasn’t just been transfer buisness that he hidden every window from but it’s also his limited 1 tactic and look moody when it goes wrong approach n bizarre over rotation.
He’s lost the dressing room , his football for at least 2 n a half years of his tenure has been atrocious and has done a full circle back to boring mixed with some calamitous defending.
And Lo Celso wasn’t even a permanent deal. Utter shite.
I thought Hawksbee was remarkably understated in his comments. Most of the posters on this blog have been making similar comments for the past season or two, and most of them have been somewhat more robust and alert to Levy’s machinations. I cannot see how all this ends well. Enic and Levy will never change. There has been a history of this manager and others not being backed at appropriate moments, why should it be any different this time? In effect, due to Levy’s utter incompetence of managing the stadium costs, there is little money available for transfers. Every top club refreshes their team on a regular basis which is the lifeblood of success in top football. Levy’s modus operandi does not work anymore, whether it ever did, is open for discussion.
