Paratici’s stance is stalling Tottenham’s move for defender

Tottenham’s move for Bologna defender, Takehiro Tomiyasu, has taken longer than most of us would have expected after they started talks over signing him earlier in the transfer window.

The Japanese star is keen to make the move to London this summer and he is only waiting for both clubs to reach an agreement.

Tottenham looked to be making good progress in their bid to sign him in the last few weeks, but it seems that is no longer the case with a new report suggesting that the deal has stalled because of Fabio Paratici.

Corriere dello Sport, as reported by Sport Witness claims that Bologna wants more money than Tottenham is offering.

It says the new Spurs’ football director, Fabio Paratici is not willing to dance to the tune of the Italians with the report claiming that he is unwilling to bid up to 25m euros for the versatile defender.

This has stalled the move and Spurs are now moving ahead with moves for their other transfer targets.

After appearing like a very promising piece of business, this transfer now appears dead in the water but Spurs will not want to lose signing a player they think will add value to their squad over some financial differences.

We can expect them to return with another offer to sign him.
