Paratici now looking to offload £42m Tottenham ace with Conte’s permission

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to offload Davinson Sanchez when the transfer window opens in January.

The Colombian defender has been a squad player for the London club this season and he needs to leave in order to play more often.

A report from CMW claims that Spurs are keen on bringing in a defender midway through the season and they are prepared to offload Sanchez and get him off their wage bill.

Apparently, Spurs are looking at Stefan de Vrij as a potential replacement. The experienced Inter Milan defender has worked with Antonio Conte in the past and he might be keen on a reunion.

Meanwhile, Sanchez has fallen down the pecking order at the club since the arrival of Conte and the £42 million signing needs a fresh start in order to get his career back on track.

The report from CMW adds that Spurs could use the Colombian in a deal to lure De Vrij to the Premier League.

Spurs could offer the player on loan to the Italian club until the end of the season and they would also give Inter Milan the option to sign the player permanently in the summer for a fee of around €15-18 million. On top of that, Spurs are willing to pay €4-5 million for De Vrij in January.

It will be interesting to see whether Inter Milan are willing to accept that offer.

De Vrij will be a free agent in the summer and getting Sanchez as his replacement might not be a bad deal for the Italians. The Colombian was a top-class talent at Ajax and he could rediscover his form with a move to Italy.
