Paratici in talks with five clubs to add their players to the Tottenham squad

It is safe to say Tottenham’s summer transfer window is now in full swing as they close in on agreements for the likes of Bryan Gil and Pierluigi Gollini.

Fabio Paratici only started as the new football director at the start of this month and he has been moving fast to get the club ready for the upcoming campaign.

The deals for Gil and Gollini will be the first of the summer, but they won’t be the last.

The Athletic says he is currently in talks with at least five clubs to sign players on their books at the moment.

Strengthening the club’s defence is an important goal for them this season and because of that, they have been linked with a move for a number of defenders.

The report says Jules Kounde remains a target even though he has said he isn’t making the move to Spurs now.

Cristian Romero is another target who Paratici is actively trying to convince that he would be better off playing for Spurs, but his £34.5m valuations might be a problem.

Paratici has also held talks with Lyon over the signing of Joachim Andersen after his loan spell at Fulham last season.

They are also closing in on signing Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna and they have tabled a bid of around £12.9m.

Jannik Vestergaard is another player Paratici has considered signing, but the report says he might be too old for the Italian administrator.
