“Out of his depth” Nuno Santo is on the verge of losing the Tottenham fanbase

Yesterday was a bad day for Tottenham and the first-half display against Arsenal was one of the worst performances that we have seen in many a year and the fanbase are not a happy bunch and who can blame them?

Picking the bones out of what went wrong is a huge task for Nuno Espirito Santo but not everyone is convinced that he has the ability to do that.

In all fairness to the former Wolves boss, there are a few that do not blame him, they point to the International break debacle, the Harry Kane situation, Covid and so on but it is fair to say that the vast majority just want him gone.

Daniel Levy, ENIC, Fabio Paratici, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele have also come in for some serious criticism as well, but it is the Portuguese gaffer that has come in for the brunt of it.

Nuno has accepted a lot of the blame and he should, he did get it wrong clearly but the question has to be asked, what other manager could come in and work under Levy and Paratici as well as a few very unhappy and disgruntled players and do any better?

Personally, I feel it is more of a structural problem now at Spurs and not even Jurgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola could turn this ship around as things stand right now, but that is just me, for the most part, it is Nuno getting the blame.

Alasdair Gold stuck up a Tweet this morning highlighting an article he wrote on yesterdays performance and as per usual there was no shortage of responses and as you may have guessed already, most were negative, here is a small sample.
