Skipp Dominates As Norwich Thump Huddersfield Analysis & Video Highlights

By The Boy -

If we start with total successful actions, this was a stand-out performance from Ollie, with nearly 100 successful actions and just 15 duds. 87% is uncommon in a midfield role.

Looking at the 19-year-old’s passing, this hit 99% which again is obviously excellent, just one stray pass in 93 minutes of football. I really cannot emphasize enough how important these basics are. I can guarantee that some fans will see these pieces and stave off a yawn, but if you want to really understand what a player does, then all these dull little maps give you an edge that you cannot get by just watching the game.

Skipp made 3 interceptions and recovered the ball 13 times, of which on 7 occasions occurred in the opponent’s half. He was a menace.

This move typifies the great attitude and intelligence of Skipp.

More, please!

It flows naturally like David Ginola’s hair at its peak and mesmerizes defenders. I strongly suspect He washes it in Timotei

Watched the game last night and Skipp worked hard, covered alot of ground and was very steady. The video above shows the one major foray into the Udder’s defence and it lead to a penalty.

The star of the show for me was Cantwell. Many clubs could be after him.

Totally agree. A full season with Norwich in the Prem, playing regularly, would be great experience without the pressure of delivering for us.

I look at Tanganga and Rodon and think they needed to be given more game time. Rodon could have stopped at Swansea whilst a team would have snapped up Tanganga on loan.

I would love to see him play for us next season but am also worried about the influence others could have o on him unless we can out them in the next window. The guy has so much if he continues to develop he could be a future captain of the club the question is, where would his development be best next season us or another season at Norwich.

I almost think the lad should stay at Norwich and get to the Prem in a system that’s seeing him thrive, rather than come back to basecamp chaos where he will probably be infected with all the nonsense that permeates ENIC fc and see his confidence and career suffer. Not a good environment for developing players.
