Sam Wallace of the Telegraph understands that Paulo Fonseca is going to be a good little boy and not turn up mob-handed with his own coaching team. Nuno Campos who has been with the soon-to-be the newly appointed Tottenham Gaffer for 15-years has bailed. Or to use Sam’s less damning language, they have agreed – amicably – to their separate ways.
The question is, is the extremely curious decision of Paulo’s own making, or was it in fact all part and parcel of Daniel Levy’s wish to keep the incoming coach’s activities as transparent as possible and so include Ryan Mason and Ledley King in the training equation?
I take a view that our latest prospective appointment is becoming curiouser and curiouser by the hour. This entire business stinks of the word having got out that Spurs are offering a poisoned chalice. Why else would a manager that Roma didn’t fancy anymore find himself suddenly propelled into managing a Premier League side with a billion-pound stadium?
