Nuno Espírito Santo could reunite with his former midfielder at Tottenham

FC Porto midfielder Vitinha spent last season on loan with Wolverhampton Wanderers and now returns to the Portuguese club for the moment. Nonetheless, Wolves wants to keep the 21-year-old, but their hesitancy to trigger the option on the loan has allowed for new competition from their ex-manager.

Mercado Azul reports that Nuno Espírito Santo’s new club, Tottenham Hotspur, is now in the mix for the Portugal international.

The report states that Vitinha’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has presented the possibility of transferring the young midfielder to Tottenham in exchange for the same €20 million.

In his lone season with Wolves, Vitinha made 22 appearances for the Premier League club, scoring one goal and one assist. The Porto player made enough of an impression on Santo that he is interested in reuniting with Vitinha.

Vitinha excelled while playing for Porto’s B squad, where he scored eight goals and registered three assists in 15 appearances. There’s plenty of potential in the Portuguese midfielder, and it seems Santos wants to be the manager to unlock the capabilities of Vitinha.
