The good news is that as of 24th January 2020 the [threatened] business is serving customers as normal.
The bad news is that the harassment of traders continues and Haringey continues to support the developer to progress the plans to demolish Ward’s Corner (and the market front along the High Road, and the shops along West Green Road to Suffield Road and then the terrace housing down along east side of Suffield, and then the shops along Seven Sister Road to Ward’s Corner).
Excellent response from Tottenham community as twenty five people turned up [at very short notice] to support the trader.
Further, updates from the N17 Creative Action social media feed.
You know nothing. NOTHING.
Well not according to my money people at Haringey council.
As an outsider not privy to all the facts it appears the council haven’t gone out of their way to obstruct ENIC’s plan. It’s possible they have been bought off.
Haringey council
They ain’t paid no rent in there for years. Can’t gain Access to flats above. They’ve been offered a good deal (but with rent to pay) I think they should take it down. Our south American brothers and their lovely food will remain in the community. I’ve been to several of their meetings. TFL own the land. Fix up the place for the next gen I reckon.
Social engineering, what ENIC do best, because it certainly isn’t investing in our football club.
