“No, I don’t want to…” Watch Ange respond to questions over a stagnant Spurs performance

A loss at the hands of a previously rather turgid Crystal Palace side brought Ange and the boys very little to draw comfort from this afternoon, and the gaffer was once again touching on Tottenham not playing the type of football he wanted them to play.

Crystal Palace were far from slick in their approach, often with the ball up in the air and tackles flying in one might normally expect to see in a cup tie, but there is a case to be made that they wanted it more. All too often, Spurs looked second best, in most departments.

Ange was short on why his boys had failed.

“No, I don’t want to play them at their own game. What I want to try to do is get people to adjust to playing our game.”

Tottenham didn’t appear to be playing Ange Ball at all, and clearly, there will be internal discussions to try and establish why a side who have kept one clean sheet this season, stood firm and beat a side unbeaten thus far in Europe.

Palace move out of the bottom three.
