New Tottenham signing is impressing the backroom staff and he is not Bale

Tottenham had one of their best summer transfer windows this year as they prepare to end their long wait for a trophy.

The Lilywhites signed the likes of Gareth Bale (On loan), Carlos Vinicius, and Matt Doherty this summer.

They signed two players from Real Madrid, Bale and Sergio Reguilon.

Bale is making a return to Spurs after seven years in Madrid where he won everything in club football.

He is the star signing for the club this summer and he is still working his way back to his very best.

However, Football Insider has revealed that the signing that has been impressing the coaches at Tottenham is Reguilon.

The Spaniard spent last season on loan at Sevilla and he helped them to win the Europa League as one of the best players in the competition.

He was expected to provide competition for Ben Davies when he joined Spurs, but he has been so impressive that he will likely own that left-back spot soon.

The report claims that terms like “phenomenal” and “brilliant” are being used to lavish praise on him behind the scenes.

Being just 23, Reguilon has a lot of room for improvement and the Spaniard will obviously be hoping to win trophies at Spurs.
