Negotiations underway – Tottenham very close to completing £15 million transfer

Tottenham is reportedly closing in on the signing of Kim Min-Jae from Beijing Goan.

The South Korean has emerged as a top target for the Lilywhites for some weeks now, and it appears that they could get the deal over the line soon.

Min-Jae is a towering centre back who has been praised for his dominating performances in the Chinese Super League.

He has been one of his team’s best players, and the nature of his game is predicted to help him succeed in the Premier League.

Spurs have been in talks with Beijing Guoan over his transfer for some time now, according to reports from Korea via Sports.news.naver.com.

A source told the website that “As for Kim Min-jae transfer, negotiations are underway between Beijing Guoan and the Tottenham club. Both teams are positive about the transfer.”

It also suggests that both teams are set to agree on a fee of around £15 million for the defender.

Spurs need to strengthen their defence ahead of next season and the importance of signing a new defender is made more pronounced by the fact that they might lose Jan Vertonghen for free this summer and the future of Juan Foyth is also up in the air.

Jose Mourinho has been brought in to win trophies and the former Manchester United boss will be looking to get his team prepared for that next season with some new signings.

Could Kim Min-jae be one of those signings?
