Ndombele, Aurier and latest striker deadline day updates

By Bruce Grove -

Deadline day is heating up and with a good 8-9 hours to go there are sure to be a few twists and turns yet.

Tottenham have already completed the transfer of Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal and they are expected to continue to be busy throughout the day.

Players that could be sold are Tanguy Ndombele and Serge Aurier, however, according to The Athletic’s Tottenham correspondent Jack Pitt-Brooke, neither player is going anywhere today and both players will remain in north London.

Pitt-Brooke also discussed the possibility of a forward coming in after Wolves ended any hope of Tottenham signing their flying winger Adama Traore.

If these tweets by Pitt-Brooke are accurate then it seems that the only business left to be done today is in the midfield area and possibly more reinforcements in the defensive spots, however, with players not leaving then you have to think there is only so much that can be done.

The likes of Houssem Aouar are still a possibility but it may pay to lower expectations of any high profile signings coming through the door today and look out more for fringe players either departing or being brought in.

“Tottenham have already completed the transfer of Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal and they are expected to continue to be busy throughout the day.”

Some sort of exclusive this ! Not a single word or confirmation on a single MSM channel

Yet more pie in the sky click bait from Bruce Grove. Give it a rest. You embarrass yourself

I still hold out for a last minute loan for our moody Frenchman.
Come on Paratici get him to Europe.

It’s not just us that get more done on the last day. Thought this year with Collini and Romero we were rather faster !
At least we have moved on more players this time which is always a failing usually. Tanguy has been a real pain because of his cost. Not sure what his agent has been doing but at least the Don has been trying to place him somewhere.
Like most of us I have no idea what has transpired between him and Nuno, perhaps he answered Nuno’s question about wanting to play for Spurs in the wrong way and Nuno has said well fu#k off then.

In answer to Sonificent, yes we have fringe players, but they are unable to step up.Outside the first eleven,we are severely limted.

This window is following all the others,we all know where the new signings are reqired, but they never arrive.

Plenty of alledged interest but nothing pans out although we tried our best we just ran out of time.Same old, same old.

Why do we take so long to sort out our business?? always the same on last day of window we are throwing money at lots of players who we don’t really want, just to look ambitious and then say we ran out of time to conclude deals. Every year it’s the same!!

Our owners don’t give a monkeys, they know that there are 100000 members, who they can offer season tickets to if existing STH do not renew.

I believe only 5500 season ticket holders did not renew this season.

I don’t think we need any fringe players. We have plenty of that. Improve the midfield and defense.
