My plausible XI to thump West Ham this evening

West Ham is having a far better season than us, which, in itself, ought to be a significant cause for concern. Add to this that so many of our support were so ‘keen’ to embrace being ejected from the Europa Conference League, and it would not be an unfair comment to suggest that a good few Tottenham fans will also be looking to escape this equally ‘Mickey Mouse’ competition.

I was born into an age of Tottenham football where Spurs were regarded – and credibly so – as a cup side. An age where looking down one’s nose was something that football fans didn’t really do because they were too busy focused on the day job. Perhaps this provides us with an insight into how some people’s minds work these days…

Tottenham are notional favourites this evening, but again, this is a game that will truly hinge upon who wants it more.

Are Spurs still a cup side? I would like to see Tottenham off the bridle, and win by a margin of at least 2 goals. Just to make a point, to our current owners.

Been quite impressed with WHam this season tbh, the EL could well hinder their progress for top four, hopefully.

Are West Ham having a far better season than us? 2 points ahead and we have 2 games in hand. Just shows how bad of a league the EPL is and how fickle pundits are (West Ham are the flavour of the month). Spurs are nowhere near as good as they were under Poch, yet we have remained in the mix for top 4-6. With Conte and the right investment/recruitment we should be closer to the top than West Ham come the last game of the season.

‘Pass back’ Doherty starting? Comedy gold.

I like that line up save for Doherty, who I’d replace with Tanganga. In his place I’d put Paskotski to see if he is as good as they all say

Dele and Winks absolutely deserve a start after Sunday. Win win for you – they either play well and we win, or we lose and you can write yet another article about Dele

Since we’re godawful in away European games, I didn’t worry about us getting thrown out of the ECL – if Mura can beat us, what would happen if we played someone decent over two legs?

But I have never seen Spurs lift a cup, and this year’s CC seems like a good place to start. Let’s get some trophies in the cabinet.

Even Conte can’t cure utter dullness. Emerson is Aurier Lite, and Doherty makes him look like TAA.

No one trusts him, which is really baffling to me, if people like Sanchez and Dier are on their 6th or 7th try already.

Last chance saloon for Doherty!

He should thrive under ‘Mr Wingbacks’ Conte…but…hmmm

Would be very surprised if he goes for Rodon tbh.
