Mr Byrite Rides Again New Kits Aren’t New

The broad response to the new kit release wasn’t a favourable one.

Beyond the unwelcome stripe nonsense around the hips (which isn’t going to work in Europe) there was also a deeper intake of breath in response to the prices.

But today there’s an even less funny revelation.

Tottenham’s second kit is in fact a swiftly rebadged copy of the Barcelona drill kit.

It’s no great shock or secret that Nike do a fair amount of recycling, but surely there comes a point whereby the buyer says to the seller, ‘hey, can we get a bit more here?’

If they kits were significantly cheaper, it wouldn’t be ideal but it might soften the blow a little.

The truth here is that ENIC do simply don’t give a damn because they know there are operating in a money bubble.

No matter how big the mistakes they make might be, as long as they don’t let the team get relegated, the streaming hopefuls will still be queuing around the block.

Unfounded cynicism?

Ask the unpolluted mind of your average 7 year old boy who likes kicking a ball about, but has yet to pin his colours to anyone’s mast.

‘Which of these identical shirts do you want, the Barcelona one, or the Spurs one?’

ENIC are killing us.
