Mourinho ready to usher out several Tottenham players to fund move for major target

Football Insider claims that Jose Mourinho might offload as many as seven first-team players from his squad before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The Special One has been backed heavily in this transfer window, signing the likes of Matt Doherty, Joe Hart, Gareth Bale and Carlos Vinicius.

After losing Jan Vertoghen, who left the club on the expiry of his contract, the Portuguese manager still wants to sign a new centre-back and the club has made Milan Skriniar their top target.

The report claims that Spurs have given Mourinho the green light to sell the members of his first-team that he can do without.

The club is prepared to listen to offers for Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier, Danny Rose, Cameron Carter-Vickers and back-up goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

Ryan Sessegnon and Rayan Clarke are also not part of the manager’s plans for the season and they have been made available for loan moves.

The club is currently negotiating with Villarreal over the transfer of Foyth, who is expected to join the Spanish side on loan, with a view to a permanent transfer.

Rose has been frozen out of the first team and told to find a new team, while Aurier has rejected a move to Spartak Moscow, but the club is still hopeful that they will be sold.
