Mourinho on his 100th Match, Arsenal Moans And Lo Celso’s Latest Injury

José Mourinho has told PA Sport’s Jonathan Veal that Spurs Argentine will not be available to tomorrow’s big game against Dinamo Zagreb. Back pain has now accompanied his thigh injury.

Cynics will be wondering if we’re to have any luck with our Argentinians given the appalling injury record of Erik Lamela.

Tottenham go into tomorrow’s Europa League game as a well-fancied side, having won all four of the games. Furthermore, our five preceding Europa League home games saw Spurs average exactly 4.00 goals per match.

Our Croatian opponents are also enjoying a spell of good form, after winning eight straight competitive matches. Of those eight victories, seven were accompanied by a clean sheet, which may be weighing heavy on Mourinho’s mind.

The Portuguese said it would “be nice to celebrate by winning a trophy. We are going to try, let’s see if it’s possible.” Talk of trophies always goes down well with most fans, but the burden of expectation this time around must be something for José to cope with given the size of the task. The moaning from the Arsenal camp about the fixture being reversed was dealt with deftly.

He was very good when the rest of the team phoned it in during late Poch times, but who cares if he can’t play?

I hope he gets back soon and puts this all behind him, but at the moment it seems we have another sicknote on our hands.

He has potential…that’ll only be realised if he plays regularly and improves this dismal injury record.

Jose seems to be getting the sick notes back and more resilient one by one…first Ndombele, then Bale, then Lamela

Im not sure what real value he adds to the team…, he doesn’t have electric pace, doesn’t create much, tackling & work rate average… think we were robbed paying 40 million for a player who isnt particularly good at anything. He does though use his weaker foot for balance only so hes in good company with: Alli & Lamela..
