Jose Mourinho has requested Fenerbahce to sign Pierre Emile Hojbjerg and he is keen on the Denmark international’s Tottenham teammate Son Heung-min as well.

The presidential election at Fenerbahce is done and dusted and Ali Koç has managed to retain his position. Now, the focus is on the transfer window and they are looking to use the Jose Mourinho trump card to bring the best possible talent to the club.

According to a report from TurkiyeGazetesi, the former Tottenham manager has requested the signing of two of his former players. Mourinho who managed Spurs back in 2019 to 2021 wants Pierre Emile Hojbjerg at his disposal at the Turkish club and he would also love to have Son Heung-min in his squad.

Hojbjerg has gone down the pecking order at the North London club following the arrival of Ange Postecoglou. With the 28-year-old surplus to requirements, Spurs are ready to sanction his departure. Fenerbahce’s sporting director Mario Branco is in talks with Tottenham as they look to complete his signing.

The report suggests that Hojbjerg is quite positive about a move to Turkey after being personally invited by his former boss Mourinho. Meanwhile, President Ali Koc is all set to travel to England with Acun Ilicali to secure the Danish international’s services.

The former Real Madrid manager is also keen on having Son Heung-min who bagged 17 goals last term. While people from the club have already met with the player’s representatives to discuss a potential move, signing him anytime soon is not going to be easy.

Spurs are unlikely to sell him given his importance to their team and with Saudi Arabian clubs also keen on his signature, the Turkish club have major hurdles in their way.
