Mauricio Pochettino may finally land on his feet at European heavyweights

Mauricio Pochettino has been out of a job since he was fired by Tottenham in 2019, but the Argentinean might end up at one of Europe’s biggest teams this summer.

Mail Sport claims that he has been contacted by Juventus over their vacant managerial position.

The Italians just fired Maurizio Sarri after he was knocked out of the Champions League in the round of 16 by a Lyon side that finished outside the top six in France.

His first season back in Italy after managing Chelsea last season has been one of disappointment.

He won the Italian league title but fell short in the Italian Super Cup, Italian Cup and Champions League.

Juventus didn’t have the patience to give him another season at the helm and the Italians have now axed him and want to replace him with Pochettino.

Pochettino failed to deliver a trophy during his time at Tottenham, but he remains a highly-rated manager and helped the Lilywhites reach the final of the Champions League last season.

It remains unclear if the former Southampton boss will be willing to accept the offer and instead target a return to the Premier League but there are not many clubs bigger than Juventus and if Poch is to start picking up silverware then the Italian champions will give him a great opportunity to do just that.
