Match Postponed: Tottenham poised for another fixture rescheduling

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur’s upcoming Premier League clash against Manchester City has been postponed.

Spurs were scheduled to host the Premier League champions on April 20th. However, the fixture has been now been postponed due to City’s participation in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

The official announcement was made via Tottenham’s club website, with details regarding the new date and kick-off time yet to be finalised.

As of now, the new date for the rescheduled fixture remains undetermined, causing uncertainty for both clubs and fans alike.

Tottenham faced a similar scenario last month when their London derby against Chelsea was postponed due to the Chelsea’s participation in the Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.

Missing the chance to face Chelsea likely impacted Tottenham’s mindset as a win could have pushed them into the top four.

They currently sit 5th in the Premier League with 53 points, trailing Aston Villa by just 3 points. They suffered a shock defeat against Fulham on Saturday, wasting the opportunity to go ahead of Villa.

Their next game is against Luton Town on 30th March after the international break.
