Marcus Edwards Turns Up The Hype

The Academy at Tottenham Hotspur has only produced one big name.

A player who has been discussed so intently, that the pages of debate outnumber the minutes that he’s played for Spurs.

The Camden born boy has apparently upped his hype game by having a tattoo in image to himself, applied to his arm.

I’m not a tattoo kinda guy, but if I were to be tempted into that world this probably wouldn’t be the type of artwork to swing it.

A generic panelled football rustling in a goal with a pair of dice, a star over one shoulder the sun over the other – all that’s missing are the keys to a Bentley between his teeth.

Presumably a bespoke work, this provides a chilling insight into the inner workings of Edwards’ mind.

Loaned to Norwich City in January 2018, he managed to nothing but draw quotes filled with frustration from the Canaries boss.

Superstar Marcus eventually made his Norwich debut in the April (as substitute) only to then be returned to Hotspur Way under a cloud with ‘personal reasons’ cited.

Edwards is currently on loan with Eredivisie club, S.B.V.
