Manchester City, Arsenal eye Spurs target while Newcastle is ready to buy their £36M talent

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking for players to upgrade their wing-back position under manager Antonio Conte. One player that the north London club is connected to is Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence.

Spence is currently on loan with Nottingham Forrest, but the 21-year-old is drawing attention from Premier League clubs. According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Bayern Munich are all keen to sign the young defender.

When it comes to the asking price, the reporter states that Middlesbrough eyes a return of £10-million to £12.5-million for Spence. This season, he’s appeared in 39 fixtures scoring two goals and recording five assists.

Tottenham is looking to add, but they’ll also be in the market to sell should a significant offer come for one of their players, and that could be incoming. The Mirror reports Newcastle United manager Eddie How has Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg atop their transfer target list.

When it comes to the possible offer, Mirror adds that Newcastle is willing to put for a £30-million proposal for the 26-year-old. This summer, Spurs will be in the market for another midfielder and waiting for the arrival of Pape Matar Sarr.

It will be interesting to see if Hojbjerg is someone they’re willing to part ways with this summer.
