Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a number of managers in recent weeks as they continue to search for a quality replacement for Antonio Conte.
Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has been linked with the Tottenham job and former Hotspur striker Peter Crouch has now revealed (via HITC) that the 57-year-old Australian Australian manager looks to be the one who could take over at the north London club.
“Ange Postecoglou looks to be the one at the moment.”
Postecoglou has done an impressive job at Celtic over the last couple of seasons and he has helped them win four trophies. Celtic managed to win back-to-back league titles under his management and their attacking approach has been a major hit with the fans.
It will be interesting to see if the 57-year-old can introduce a similar style of football at Tottenham next season.
The north London giants need to bring in a quality manager who can help reshape the squad and help them challenge trophies once again. It has been a dismal campaign for Tottenham and they have missed out on Champions League qualification. It will come as a devastating blow to their finances and they need to bring in a manager who will get them back into the top four immediately.
The opportunity to manage in the Premier League will be an attractive option for the Australian manager and it could be the ideal challenge for him at this stage of his career.
The 57-year-old is undoubtedly a quality manager and it will be interesting to see if all parties can come to an agreement soon.
