Manager admits that he is ‘ready’ to take on the Tottenham job

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with a number of managers as a potential replacement for Antonio Conte.

The Italian was sacked earlier this season and Tottenham are currently searching for a permanent replacement for him.

Former midfielder Ryan Mason is currently the caretaker manager at the club.

Apparently, Mason is a popular figure amongst the players and he is ready to take on the job on a full-time basis.

Ryan Mason (h/t Fabrizio Romano): “I have said I feel ready to help this club and I absolutely do. I remain confident, honestly. Of course it’s club decision, I trust people at the club”.

However, it seems that Tottenham are looking to bring in a more proven manager who will be able to guide them to major trophies in the coming season.

Tottenham have been linked with Julian Nagelsmann, Luis Enrique and Arne Slot in recent weeks.

Nagelsmann is currently without a job since his sacking from Bayern Munich. Slot has guided Feyenoord to a league title this year and the 44-year-old is one of the most in-demand managers around Europe right now.

As far as Luis Enrique is concerned, he is also without a job since his departure from the Spanish national team.

Tottenham must look to bring in a manager who will appease the fan base and convince top players like Harry Kane to stay at the club.

While Mason might develop into a talented manager, he would be an underwhelming appointment for now, and it would be a major gamble from Daniel Levy.
