New Tottenham signing Lucas Bergvall has revealed that he has already secured a flat in London ahead of a summer move.
The promising midfielder, played his final game for Djurgården IF on Sunday, ending his stint with a 3-0 defeat to Hammarby.
The loss marked the conclusion of his captivating tenure in Stockholm as he prepares to embark on a new chapter with Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Bergvall’s move to Tottenham was already agreed upon in January, with the Swedish club securing a deal for the talented teenager to join the North London side.
His performances have ignited excitement among fans, with the 18-year-old notching 6 goals and 5 assists in 18 appearances across all competitions, notably contributing to Djurgardens’ progression to the Svenska Cupen final.
Ahead of his departure, Bergvall expressed a mix of nervousness and excitement about his upcoming move to the Premier League giants.
In an interview with Aftonbladet, he revealed his desire to return to Djurgården later in his career, highlighting the emotional connection he has formed with the club during his 1.5-year spell.
While Bergvall’s focus is on his imminent move to Tottenham, he also discussed his future plans, envisioning a return to Djurgården to round off his career in 17-18 years.
Amid his transition to London, Bergvall shared insights into his accommodation arrangements, disclosing that Tottenham has assisted him in finding a suitable residence.
The Sweden international will initially move into a new house in North London with his parents, indicating that manager Ange Postecoglou may include him in his plans for the upcoming season rather than sending him out on loan.
He said:
“I have secured a flat (in London) that we have been helped with by Tottenham.”
“It’s a priority that it’s close to the site rather than central London. It’s also quite close to a tube station so you can get to the centre without the traffic, so it’s very well located. There are several players who live in that area.”
