Lo Celso Talks Not Off

While the feel good factor of Tanguy NDonbele’s signing (the Frenchman incidently will be back in 9 days for to commence his pre-season on the 12th July) still resonates across the fan base, there may be more reasons to be cheerful on the horizon.

A source close to the club tells the Harry Hotspur blog that Daniel Levy is still pushing to get a deal for Giovani Lo Celso over the line, ASAP.

However, it’s looking increasingly likely as if Lo Celso may be done at the death.

This is not what Levy wants, as the ideal scenario is to shift Christian Eriksen and bring in a player that has a true desire to play for us in his stead.

The line I was given was that Poch and Levy are very much working well as a unit. Pochettino’s professionalism appears to being paid off in spades. Mauricio feels respected.

Our president’s willingness to back Mauricio Pochettino this window is as shocking as it is welcome, but during the NDombele negotiations, Levy was doing his upmost to convince Real Betis player’s agents that Tottenham were ready to cut a favourable deal.

Take away points: This deal ain’t over and Levy would prefer to get it done sooner rather than later. There is no brinkmanship at play on Tottenham’s side here.
