Lo Celso Quits Friendlies & Limps Back To London

By The Boy -

“Gio”, Giovani Lo Celso is finally a Spurs player. He’s out injured.

The 23-year-old midfielder has a “pain in the left inguinal region,” according to the Argentine national team, related through a medical report, according to this Spanish outlet.

Of course, this report merely alerts us to the player being pulled from Argentina’s next week’s international friendly versus Mexico, the extent of the injury is yet far from confirmed.

That said, this ‘pain’ must be of some concern, as the Mexico game isn’t until Wednesday, this week. The injury evidentially isn’t something that could be ‘run off’.

This won’t improve Pochettino’s mood. The gaffer’s next presser will be again be worth watching for all the wrong reasons.

Tottenham’s next Premier League game is at home to Crystal Palace on the 14th. With any luck we should hear positive updates about Tanguy Ndombele, Ryan Sessegnon, Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth.

Technically, it is possible for Spurs to go 4th should we grab a decent win.

I’d like to know why the hell he was allowed to play on for 40 odd minutes. Clearly the ankle took some heavy trauma.
