But you also have to take into consideration that we played many more games than the teams around & above us.

The post match Jose just gave was brilliant & it’s the bare minimum he should expect as a Spurs manager.

He’s not interested in Lloris most match interview, he’s only interested in what he sees on the pitch.

It’s a shame there’s an International Break. Want to see if they can back this performance up.

No a draw’s pretty handy; it keeps Arsenal two points further behind us and we’re now just a single point behind the Hammers.

Villa one win in seven, apparently, Eastie. Another club that has been mixing up strikingly good results with shit ones.

Villa very up and down, too, and another team having a bad run with only one win in last seven, apparently. Only Man City seem to be winning!

No, I agree, this team, surely, isn’t top four. Personally, I think we’re more likely to win the final than get top four.

Yes, I noted our goal difference was joint 4th. However, a little bit inflated by some big wins early in the season. I find it astonishing that we’re only 3 points off fourth place when we seem to have been playing so badly so much of the time, but then a team like Liverpool are below us.

While I still would love to see the back of Levy and ENIC (as long as we don’t get something even worse!), we may have all been over reacting a little to events. It’s been an extremely topsy turvy season for most of the clubs caused perhaps by the almost surreal lack of match atmosphere which is nullifying home advantage to a very significant degree. Also, we’ve had a gruelling programme of matches.

Kwakspur

In such a terrible “so called” Prem season, at present we have 4th best attack & 3rd best defence, not bad for a defensive Jose team.
Also our goal difference is joint 4tb best.

I personally judge a teams position by their goal difference, your goal difference tells you where your position in the table should be, so hopefully we make it with no other real distractions.

Much needed ‘playing for pride’ type win.

What level are Villa at the moment without Grealish though? Another win against a poor side?

However, right now a win is a win and pleased for those players drafted in.

Sanchez was NOT that bad, Villa’ attack do that to most defences at home.

He’s still pretty young as a Prem CB & was alittle under pressure as the leader at the back.

Don’t crucify him after a 2-0 away to one of the best home teams this season.

Do you really worry about Everton that much? They’re average at home, losing to Leeds, Newcastle, Fulham, Burnley, West Ham. Leicester are not great at home either.

United are on a fantastic away run in the league, but we’ve done them 6-1 already this season. If we have a decent mentality – as opposed to the lacklustre sh-t we’ve served up last week -, we can do them.

Good response to a horrible week. Not perfect, but far better than the derby and Zagreb away. I’ll take it.

Moura is playing through the centre and has been amazing. Can we give Jose credit for putting him there? ๐Ÿค”

Impressed with Tanganga, Rodon and Davies stepping in off the bench. Decent stuff, but we’ll learn more in April.

Moura seems happy to be a first choice again, happy to be wearing the shirt, has a fearless element to his play that’s needed – does’t look brain frozen with fear of a mistake or otherwise static like a lot of them.

Has won me over again. playing well, linking well, seems to care about the result.

What did Bergwjin do wrong? We were 2 nil up and he wasn’t sent on to score goals. He stretched Villa and kept it simple. He did grand

legoverlass

Moura has been our best player for several matches now. never stops running, always looking to move forwards. We looked lethargic and slow for sections of the match and had Grealish been playing the result may have been different. The three points are invaluable but cannot see us taking any points of Man Utd or Everton at the moment. Hopefully, the international break will help calm things down. It will be interesting to see if Bale gets a full 90 mins with Wales and to see how much intensity he brings to wearing that shirt.

Winks, Dele, Dier all off you’d think…guess we recall Sessegnon and Skipp to add to the homegrown quota before anything else.

The expense of buying three english replacements could be eye watering otherwise…

Moura did really well tonight, definitely motm

Makes you wonder why Rodon and Tangana not been given more chances, they did well.

Villa were really poor, so perfect game for us before the international break.

Once they got their confidence they looked brighter.

That was good. Vini grew into the game and was a useful battering ram. Japhet played like a season pro but Sanchez is all legs, arms and fouls. Green shoots of recovery but I’m not sure if we are top 4 material tbh.

We’re not getting thrashed much. If players are brought in to help the quality AND mentality of the squad, we can play good sides without fear.

Bayern, PSG, Man City? Probably not, but most others yes.

The frustrating thing is that you can’t know which Spurs will turn up. We can thrash Utd and beat City, but…

I like a full back with pace. Davies gets targeted by every stronger side we face, which tells me he isn’t a strong point of the squad. He cost us some Anfield games, and more recently got done by Seamus Coleman several times.

Good today, but Reguilon makes us a different team altogether.
