Tottenham Hotspur’s Dele Alli is set to become one of the first casualties of the Antonio Conte era, with reports suggesting that Conte is ready to let him go in January.
Alli has fallen down the pecking order this season at Spurs, and despite starting the game against Liverpool on Sunday, it is believed Alli has been told he can leave in the January transfer window.
These reports are courtesy of EuroSport, who suggest that Alli’s representatives are looking for transfer solutions both within the Premier League and abroad.
The domestic offers seem most likely to come from one of two sources.
These being either the nouveau riche Newcastle United or top four challengers West Ham United, with the latter’s circumstances elsewhere in the market key to whether they pursue a deal to acquire Alli.
Yeah right… According to transfermarkt we are in the top ten most valuable teams in the world!…. “slightly above average”.. You’re deluded… Your name ‘glory costs too much’ sums you up really.
Doherty out of position? Errrrr he played as a wing back for wolves for many years. You need to lay off the drinks Glory boy. Clueless.
A wing back has many roles.
I don’t hate them. Never said that…. I am realistic about their form.. They have been punching above their weight. The ropey is as far as they go… If you think they will be a CL team then you’re having a laugh… The reasons they have done so well (by theirs and moyes standards) and got to the ropey are two fold. Set pieces and Declan Rice.. The whole league and all teams have been affected by covid… We finished poorly last season after being 5th, Maureen sacked, Kane decided to try and force his move, his head turned and he stopped playing.. We have been underachieving, they have been overachieving…. You laughed at me when I said we’re in for top four… Yet you think Spam are better? You really rate their squad? We have better players for sure… You seem to talk a lot of nonsense for weeks now. Banged your head or something?
He’s got the right personality though and that probably counts for a lot in the dressing room, you need that.
He usually runs out of steam, but then rotating Moura, Son, Kane and Alli/Ndombele isn’t the worst selection of options
I still think top 4 is possible under Conte. I agree we desperately need more quality, but at present this bloke is getting another 25% out of this lot, compared to the last two managers.
I’ve not usually as bothered about this cup with the Champions League commitments. Semi final stage, two derby games and no European footy now, we have to go for it.
Will be a tough game away, it would be fitting if we did them at their place, given the recent history.
I love his work rate and commitment, even when it’s a lost cause, when the team as a whole hasn’t been doing their jobs he’s always trying, seems like a nice lad too. Being brutally honest though, his end product just doesn’t match up to all that. A good player to have around but apart from Amsterdam he’s rarely shown an ability to change games. Unlike Sonny & Kane who’ve been doing it for years…
NLD at Wembley in the final?
Yeah they’re so poor they qualified for the ropey whilst we could only manage the conference. Fair enough to hate them, most of us do, but at least be realistic about their form last season and this, they’ve also been weakened by injuries/covid and a small squad.
Moura is frustrating, has the ability to create and score but doesn’t produce enough of either considering his abilities.
100% we’d miss him if he left. Keepers must be judged over a longer time period to ascertain their true worth to a team. No point in being amazing one game and really poor in the next etc, consistency over the long term is key.
I would say Moura is about 35% better than him. One good game in 5…
Yes please, hes worth 68 mil already though. His price is only going to go up. Can see him in a City shirt in the future.
I agree fcuk the Spam, they are good in the air and at set pieces, but punching above their weight at the minute…. One man they have who is class is Declan Rice.. Would love it if we signed him. What a player.
Yup, he’s generally been good for us.
its a home and away semi final, so second leg at home is fine with me!
Loris has been good all year. We will miss him when he’s gone and it will be tough to find equivalent quality to replace or upgrade. Especially with Levy running the transfers.
He’s just not a good footballer. One half-decent game in a year or two isn’t a decent return. Get rid now while his stock has risen.
The Italian Job…
Conte not convinced by Bergwjn in post match interview.
A marathon-not a sprint. Good job really as we had done a Paula Radcliffe (Athens Olympics) until Nuno was ousted. As pointed out we have games in hand and a manager who knows what he is doing. I am not stating we are better tan City or Chelsea, that would be lunacy. This is West Ham and it was embarrassing they finished above us last season. It won’t happen this season.
Quite!
Beat Chelsea then Arse in the final and finish the London sweep.
1 of the 2 sorry
only need to win 2 of the 3 in hand and that’s not true
Yet they lie above us in the table…
Ddoris & Sanchez had particularly good games I thought, and Burg Wine was pretty sharp too.
Yeah sell Lo NoShow and get in a proper AM.
I dont like to be pessimistic but suspect we needed a home draw.
He never seems to want to take players on and get in decent crosses, isn’t that the role of a wing back?
I would have preferred Orient!
Great time to play them maybe, they’re not happy right now
Away at chelsea, pretty annoying draw.
Lo Celso is an interesting one in that he plays well on internationals, has never really played well for us or adapted to the PL…so could be easy enough to flog and we miss nothing from the sale really. He’s never done anything for the team really, a few ok cup performances is about it.
I’d maybe push for him first out, or one of Doherty/Tanganga (if Conte doesn’t think he’ll cut it in one position, not sure we want an average utility defender)
West Ham are a bang average team and even though we are not what we were 5 years ago, I still see us as better than that lot.
Tonight we proved that, without being amazing and having a fair few of our duffers on the field. All those Hammers can now get back in their box and listen to how well they are doing by pundits who laughably steal a living by talking nonsense.
Leicester cant defend
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool in the hat with us… still a big ask to actually win it!
We won… a game away from a final…. Merry Xmas ya filthy animals ….
The best I can say is that he looked no worse than Royal today. Which is an improvement.
Said it before, and will say it again, in Conte’s system quality wing backs are crucial, yet I dont see us linked with any despite ours being distinctly average.
He was ok mostly…and he might be more reliable than Tanganga in the position. I’m not sure how it’ll work out but I can’t see both those two staying for long – at least one will go.
I didn’t have a problem with Doherty today.
Doherty.
Agree ,it was still his best game in ages though 🤣
Doherty.
Well it’s like giving possession away isn’t it?
Who has fluffed their last audition for Conte? Realistically who is first out the door in January?
Did you notice that Loucas declined to pass to Doherty if he could help it.
Result of Levy always buying on price and not quality.
Levy would hold onto them so long they’d melt anyway.
Yeah enjoyed the yid army chorus.
Docherty was roasted down that left flank and he cannot cross a ball. West Ham players seem able to bang in good crosses from both sides but we still seem unable to cross and get past the first man or play it into a dangerous area.
Who was awful.
Yes, but chocolate buttons don’t count as legal tender these days…
And tanguy…
Technically scrappy, great job……crowd awesome !!
Can we buy Rice ?
Yep agree, played well and brave to boot.
Thought Sanchez had a good game. Doherty playing out of position, he should be on drinks.
Doesn’t help Romero and Lo Celso – who are meant to be big signings – are totally invisible and never available
Yeah we all know what that means…
Levy time in Jan🤣
Well I never.Dare we go out and buy some duraglit? 😉
Thanks to Lloris.
We’re a slightly above average team with a world class manager at the moment. Still we got the result but we need some quality.
Well done the lads ,decent performance .
Once ………………………………..
Did Dele Alli touch the ball after he came on?
Shite touch sonny…
Son Son Son !
Good shape ,always got an easy pass on ,at last!
Winks passes it forward, that’s what I want to hear.
Clinging on a bit here ..few changes needed ..Def bring on Son
😁😁😁😁
😜👍
Not far to come with the caravans.
5Live commentator reckons 40,000.
Well in Ben.
Win or lose this its actually worth watching spurs again, couldnt face a whole season of nuno nothing style.
That’s the annoying part. Hugo has 2 great saves then they are handed the equaliser from stupidity.
Don’t disagree about those players but they are brilliant in the air, very strong .
Not sure the numbers but looks like a decent turn out…come on you yids…
Never thought he should be captain, but a very solid player. He’s been here since AVB, and I’m glad he stuck around.
A good old fashioned cup tie
Great game so far. Looking forward to unleashing Gio to slide tackle these guys a bit at the end.
Other than that We are looking good. 🤔
Thanks. Bergy’s 1+1 will do him a world of good!
Dier, a world class defender? Hey, Conte whatever you are on I want some.
We are doing OK but you feel that some Spurs Clanger will give away the hard faught lead so we badly need that 3rd goal. Can’t see it finishing as it is.
Strange first half, could have been 3-3.
Indeed – maturing with age…sign him on another two year deal..
Couple of worldies from Lloris.
Sorry, but with Docherty, Sanchez, and Dier at the back, we ain’t winning anything. We need another RB, possibly two CB’s a world-class attacking mid, and another striker. We cannot defend crosses and we struggle to cross accurately when attacking.
One goal and an assist
Work rate is great…set up is good…passing is average and West Ham are playing well so could go either way..
Only in his local bar
Some good performances out there – Moura has a strut today and Bergwijn is just being a real pain for them to defend against. Kane is still not quite there but at least he’s leading the line with a bit more aggression and sharpness.
Missed the first 45, I take it we’re doing well save for a brainfart by Dier?
