French outfit Nice are reportedly interested in signing the Tottenham Hotspur defender Davinson Sanchez.
According to a report from Daily Mail, the French outfit has made an enquiry about the Colombian international but the player is not keen on leaving Tottenham this month.
The 26-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at the London club, and he has not been a regular starter under Antonio Conte.
However, the player wants to stay at Tottenham and fight for his place during the second half of the campaign.
It will be interesting to see whether the French outfit can convince the player to push for a move this month.
It would be highly unlikely for Tottenham to sanction the player’s departure, especially without bringing in a new centre-back.
Conte has always maintained that he will not weaken his squad without bringing in a replacement first. Despite the fact that Sanchez is not a key starter at Tottenham, he remains an important squad player and the Italian manager will not want to let him leave this month.
Any move would have to wait until the summer transfer window. The defence has been a concern for Tottenham the season and they are hoping to bring in a quality right back before the January transfer window closes.
The Sporting CP defender Pedro Porro has been identified as a priority target, and a deal is thought to be close to bring the 23-year-old to the London club this month.
