Levy’s Managerial Wish List Had Another Name Scrubbed From It

Daniel Levy’s managerial wish list is getting shorter by the day and the latest casualty comes hot on the heels of Brendan Rodgers who’s reported quotes will have not gone down well with some Tottenham fans.

Rodgers essentially pointed out that Spurs’ much-vaunted facilities are no great shakes in the 21st century. The days of a football club training on heavy old fields with few amenities are long gone. Most top-flight sides have all the technical toys these days.

German outlet Kicker has revealed that Jesse Marsch turned down enquiries from both Eintracht Frankfurt and Tottenham before taking the then-vacant position at Red Bull Leipzig.

Mr. Levy will be pursuing perhaps his trickiest appointment yet, given the financial limitations – and the questionable public perception of the club at this point in time.

The hot-seat at Spurs surely cannot be perceived as one of the top jobs in Europe right now. Pochettino fired, then Mourinho, and the constant rumours surrounding Harry Kane… we must look like a poisoned chalice.
