Levy Pushing To Sign £50M Man

By The Boy -

Poor old Christian Eriksen. It never rains but it drizzles.

There’s a message for the kids here. If you want to get on in life, take Mahatma Ghandi’s advice and ‘be the change you wish to see in the world‘.

Wandering about looking a bit wistful, hoping that someone else waves a magic wand and makes the changes you want happen, isn’t the way forward.

Right now, ESPN believe, Daniel Levy is pushing Real Madrid to part with 22-year-old Dani Ceballos.

Ceballos wants a bigger role at Real, and he isn’t going to get one.

“Next year I want to play 40 games and aspire to win.”

Zidane has since told £50million rated Ceballos that 40 appearances is an unrealistic expectation, and encouraged him to leave the club.

It’s been mooted in the red-tops that Dani only wants a loan away from Los Blancos, and it is this blog’s understanding that Tottenham are disinterested in a loan agreement.

Beyond the Sissoko/NDombele axis, the Spurs’ midfield is in desperate need of a player to shake up chancers like Dele Alli and Eric Dier.

The arrival of a young player with Dani’s quality would turn this window from great, to outstanding.

Winks is a far moire interesting player, but needs a run of not getting injured before he can ‘command’ a starting spot.

Deli Ali is a very poor player we could do better than him he is gutless Eric Dier is also a very bad passer of the ball and he can`t stich up the midfield for an attack .

Did someone mention Foyth at right back?

Fuck that. Just because he did a YouTube clip.

He will be a great centre back.

If he does sign Ceballos, and Sessegnon, and another striker and full back, but we end up being shite next year, will we all promise not to moan about it?

I would say that even if we did all that, the moaning would start as soon as we lost/drew for the first time next season !!!!!! As Spurs fans, we just cannot help it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

If poch can get the best out of these 2nd rate lumps, sissoko davies dier and tripp then i see no reason he can’t with the likes of N’dombele ceballos sess and lo celso providing we get them in, in i trust,COYS.

Winks, ndombele, sissoko in a midfield three would b a good midfield when we are up against city or pool
Ndombele can pass the ball from what I’ve seen so far. Adding lo selso for Eriksson would be a great move. I think Eriksson will end up at manure. Very disappointed with his quotes, should have kept his feelings between him and levy/Poch

Bloody hell, it’s been a long time since a transfer window has been this exciting !!!! I Personally think Wanyama is most at risk now, as Dier can play in defence when needed, so out of the two he is probably the one Poch will want to keep. The great shame is that before Wanyama got injured he was an absolute beat for us. It goes to show how fleeing it can all be, one minute tearing up trees then all of a sudden. Also agree that if Winks stays fit he will become a mainstay in CM. Also, i would just like to put this out there, and happy to be shot down in flames, but i am predicting that as from next season, Juan Foyth will be our Right Full back…. Poch played him there towards thge end of last season, and Argentina have played him there in the copa…

I can believe Levy doesn’t like the loan idea. He never has and frankly, I understand 100% why.
If this is all true from ESPN then either Baldy has suffered a severe head injury or CE is already sold and we are just flexing that money. Time will tell but suffice to say the red tops are enjoying the grand opening of Levy’s wallet!

Re Sissy and NDombele partnership. I can’t see them playing together really. NDombele is the player Sissoko nearly is. I hope Im wrong and it can work because Sissy was great last year and often the sole source of energy and commitment in the midfield. Its about depth though, so it can only be a good thing to have them both in the ranks.

Form is ephemeral in sport. Given that N’dombele and Sissoko would not be a good fit in central midfield, why not sell Sissoko now that he has found form. I agree about Foyth about right back.

Ceballos is pretty similar to Winks! Doubt this one will happen!
I’d go for Maddison! He’s young and can improve also know he can handle the PL which doesn’t always happen with players from slightly slower but more technical leagues like La Liga!!
It’s a long season so more players is all good but bare in mind the quotas we have to adheee to

Eriksen’s chat with the Danish press suggests he no longer wants to play for us. It seems to me that neither does Dani Ceballos. The risk is in swapping one disinterested player for another. Lo Celso please.

Would also love to see someone come in to really push Kane!! I know we have Son but another young starving hungry strong quick forward! Not sure we’ve the budget for that but would love it just to keep Harry on his toes

Why is it assumed that Sissoko will mainly partner Ndombele? Winks is by far the superior player and if Poch plays 2 in central midfield I’d bet on Winks & Ndombele being the first choice partnership.

Inside, Eriksen must be devastated about what has transpired in the last few months. He has been the architect of his own downfall and he must realise it now. He got it into his head that he was going to RM so completely gave up for us, which has really shown the character of the man. Anyone with a brain would have tried even harder therefore making themselves a more attractive prospect, he could have commanded a higher wage level or been more assured of a starting place at RM, but why would they want him now?
I really hope we sign Bruno Fernandes, £50 million is not a bad price surely? Looks like we are leaving him to Utd though.

Neither Alli or Eriksen turned up for the Champions League final. God or great players perform to their optimum in big games, they didn’t. As far as I am concerned, they can both leave as they don’t have the backbone or right mentality, although both their values have dropped. Perhaps Dier can play centre back, he is certainly no midfield player. If we buy Ceballos, does that rule out Lo Celso? Has Levy experienced an out of body moment where he has suddenly developed a taste for the transfer market?

What Eriksson doesn’t understand is that to sign for Madrid, you have to prove your worth to the club you are currently playing for. Wimping out in the cl final and half the games played last season (although other players are just as guilty) won’t get you a move. Also, never open your mouth even if you know 100% Madrid are coming for you, that is not classy.
I would have liked him to stay, but he can piss off now. We move on now, and maybe look at Lyon’s scouting team who are to come up with some really good players ,ndombele, mendy and others.
Would like Max Aarons from Norwich to replace trippier .

Levy’s record for replacing top talent, since at least Michael Carrick, is less than stellar to put it mildly. In fact many of the fresh faces he has hurriedly landed to appease fans have tended towards the diabolical end of the spectrum. Don’t know much about Dani Ceballas or whether he is a long term poch target. But if he is deemed surplus to requirements to last season’s RM side it does trigger mild alarm. If Eriksen goes we need to replace a player with the best chances created and assists record in the PL since 2013. Not as convinced as many that the individuals being touted as upgrades are any such thing. Levy history makes that extremely unlikely.

No, you are not being overly sensitive. While I acknowledge that Eriksen is a great talent, he is not a man to admire, in my opinion, and his body language at Spurs this last season well attests to his overall lack of commitment. I’d be glad to see the back of him. He plays his best football for Denmark, and I don’t personally see other clubs coming in for him, well, not unless they’re got more money than sense. His get out of jail free card that should no-one come in for him, he’d be prepared to negotiate a new contract with Spurs, makes you want to reach for the sick bucket.

It would. Eriksen pinned his colours to the mast on the final game of competitive play for the club showing zero commitment or am I being sensitive? He wasnt the only one. New impetus and fresh ideas from new players can change a team dynamic. I hope he nails this deal. Chancers like Alli and Dier need exposing.
