Levy Identifies His Eriksen Upgrade

By The Boy -

I need to make a small confession.

Up until today, I was unaware of the existence of James Maddison. Call me the white Danny Rose.

According to The Times’ Gary Jacob, James Maddison is Daniel Levy’s upgrade on Christian Eriksen.

In Levy We Trust.

The Times

What the hell is with the use of the word, ‘upgrade’?!

The answer painfully simple, there’s nothing wrong with Christian Eriksen, and so any owner of a football club seeking to get shot of such whiz must be doing so on the basis that they have something better lined up.

Anyone that recalls the old Through The Keyhole TV show with Sir David Frost will be familiar the line, ‘and remember, all the clues are there…’

Toby Alderweireld has been outstanding – he’s off in a season’s time.

Jan Vertonghen has been outstanding – he’s off in a season’s time.

Any more questions, then I strongly suggest you send them to someone else. Someone who cares about the weird fantasy you’re living in.

True that Walker hasn’t been replaced. Trips was looking like he was going to be better or certainly as good only with a cross in him, but hit a brick wall not long after the World Cup and looks burnt out.

Aurier needs a hell of a lot of work, on the other side Davies is a rotation player at this level and Rose isn’t getting any better either but ok on his day. KWP needs time to show what level he can achieve, jury out.

Central midfield and fullback are areas needing attention, if Eriksen goes then that area too.

Money talks. Both are nearing their last contract. Someone else will give them a bumper sign on fee and a thick wedge of salary.

Loves Tottenham. He believes. You never know. If they leave and we win the league how sick would they be. You know when you’ve been waiting for a bus for ages then decided to walk, soon after the bus drivers past ya…:-)

He won’t. He will be offered money he deserves elsewhere. Why stay?

It will be interesting to see how Danny boy dresses up the player exodus. One article I read said that getting 25million for toby would be a good deal. Seriously when he tried to sell him for either 50 or 75 last summer? At what if he goes to one of our rivals, he will look a right fool.
In eriksens case how is he going to get big bucks on a player in the last year of his contract?
Worse would you trust byright boy to invest the monies wisely?
If you ever were a great negotiator Danny ,which is doubtful ,the worlds moved on and you are well past your sell by.

Walker going was terrible coz he aint been upgraded. Eriksen wants a Spanish challenge. Bye! I think toby will stay, especially if United dont get top four. Jan will stay.

Walker going wasn’t terrible in and of itself, but was a worrying sign. Eriksen going will just be shite, no way of dressing it up. Watching Toby and Jan go in the Summer will be just as sickening.

This team will gradually be rebuilt with young “hungry” players and everyone will declare that the future is rosy. Until of course they become stars and realise they’re wasting their time at Spurs… and round and round we’ll go. Cue merry-go-round music.
