Latest Quote From Spurs Ace Makes Mockery Of Recent Club Merchandise And ENIC Generally

By The Boy -

As I’ve made the point in the past, I feel that we have just two elite players in the squad, who identify themselves day after day without fail. One is Harry Kane and the other is Sonny. Whoever you may also really like has no bearing upon having elite status and so sadly, nobody else comes quote close enough.

This segues effortlessly into the whole spiel about trophies being for egos and reveals just how big the wholes are in ENIC’s ambitions which are to compete on the field whilst ensuring this never distracts from the Investment Company’s commercial activity. This is demonstrated by the exceptional results THFC’s business has made off the pitch, whilst on it, the football team’s results have yielded just one tangible triumph in 20-years.

Sonny’s words won’t sit well with the club which is currently seeking to cash in on qualifying for a cup final by selling merchandise. Just a friendly reminder, that our opponents on Sunday are 1/4 on to win that game.

If fans want to know why this latest generation of Spurs players goes the same way as the last, then they’ll need to look beyond the choice of manager.

Elite players want trophies. Money and honours. Ask Kyle Walker. Ask Gareth Bale …and…

The quotes by the way are from DAZN, and we’ll be discussing them in a separate piece!

Quite agree. Spurs were given the chance to sign Bergkamp but elected to buy Chris Armstrong instead. Some things never change.

no point arguing over stadium etc. Bottom line is Sugar refused to pay small fees for Zola & Bergkamp, both natural Spurs types & spunked money on over the hill Sir Les. Then ENIC came along with same attitude. 1 League cup in 20 years is a fact , not open for debate so whos fault is it then?

Tottenhams stadium can do many things. The NFL gonna use it when we aint (music people too) they rent it off us. Anchor Tennant? Tennant in our own stadium? So we pay ourselves rent? The sad thing is you want to be right.

I have send you a quote from Aidan Mullaly, the club’s head of business development.
“Over the past three to four years, I think this has been, quite frankly, the most followed stadium in the world,” he told the audience. “When people come [to the first test event] on Sunday, I think they will be truly amazed by how magnificent the stadium is.
“It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US.”

I have sent you this before but you seem to ignore the facts.

Most of the cash flow will probably be sent to enic? Says who you? The person who thought the stadium wasn’t Tottenham’s and we were renting it? OK then

Does all the money that the football club makes go straight to ENIC then?

Levy said publicly when asked if building the new stadium would impact on the club’s ability to buy new players that money would still be available in the transfer market. We then proceeded to go two transfer windows without buying a player which made playing catch up with the elite teams almost impossible. In my world, Levy is a liar. His track record as the CEO of a professional football club is derisory. His track record at enriching Enic and thereby himself at the expenses of success on the pitch is exemplary. All this guff that when we have huge cash flow with the stadium reopening with full attendances does not inspire me with any confidence. Firstly, we will have to pay down debt. Secondly, much of that cash flow will probably be sent to Enic and thirdly, even if substantial funds become available for strengthening the team, Levy will inevitably fu** it all up as his track record so amply demonstrates.

If the ESL thing went ahead and Tottenham wasn’t part of it we’d a been fckd. Whether you agreed with it or not that’s the reality. Its not as if it was Levy’s idea

Sonny is to streaky to be elite, it’s the element that stops him being in that bracket as he has all the rest.

Is a levy apologist someone who understood what was going on the moment he decided to build the stadium? As in no money for players? That’s me then. Whether you agreed with it or not one shoulda understood it. From levy didn’t back arry properly (nelson&saha) people shouda known poch wouldn’t be backed either. I knew it.

He surely went because of the ESL thing. Anyway, the ESL proposal should have been the final straw for Levy. He’s presided over failure after failure but somehow cannot point the finger at himself. Are you a Levy apologist?

Do you think any of the other ‘big 6’ executives etc. will resign? Not including Woodward at Man U who was going already.

The captain of the world cup winners gives Hugo elite status. We talk about winning trophies all the time and it doesn’t getting any bigger than captaining your country to world cup glory

After the ESL debacle this: “But, despite the mounting pressure, Levy reportedly has decided that he will be staying put already.”

Hardly surprising from the little narcissist.

I’m confused H, are we saying that Eric Dier and Moussa Sissoko aren’t elite?
