Latest Callum Wilson news is very encouraging for Tottenham

One of the players strongly linked with a move to Tottenham is Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and it appears that he is just waiting for a phone call for the move to happen, according to the Sun.

It seems that the 28-year-old has been telling his teammates that he wants to remain in the Premier League in order to enhance his chances of playing for England in the Euro’s next summer (The Telegraph).

According to the report in the Sun, Wilson is worried that he will become the forgotten man if he remains with the Cherries and is keen to follow his teammate Nathan Ake and land a transfer back to the Premier League.

Reports have circulated that Wilson will be available for as little as £10 million (The Sun), which is a bargain in this day and age of crazy transfer fees.

The biggest problem for Wilson is that he may not get as much football as he would like if he signed primarily as a back-up striker and you have to think that is the only reason that Jose Mourinho would sign him.

That said, it is still encouraging for Spurs that Wilson is determined to leave the South Coast side. It means that Bournemouth’s negotiating position is further weakened when they are confronted with a player that is set on leaving.
