Real Sociedad are reportedly keen on signing Sergio Reguilon from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 26-year-old Spanish defender finds himself on the fringes of the first team and he needs to leave the club in order to play regularly.
The Spaniard clearly does not have a future at Tottenham and it remains to be seen whether the north London outfit are prepared to sanction his departure.
According to a report from Oscar Mendez and Patxo De la Rica, Real Sociedad want to sign the player this summer but Tottenham are ‘not an easy club to negotiate’ with because of Daniel Levy.
It remains to be seen whether the Spurs chairman is ready to sanction Reguilon’s departure this summer.
The north London outfit paid €30 million for him and they will look to recoup most of that. Reguilon loan was on loan at Atletico Madrid last season and the opportunity to return to Spain permanently could be tempting for him.
The 26-year-old will look to get his career back on track with regular football and an exit from Spurs in the summer would be ideal.
The defender has previously shown his quality in La Liga during this time at Sevilla and he could prove to be a quality acquisition for Real Sociedad.
The Spanish outfit are in need of defensive reinforcements and they have considered a potential move for the Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney as well.
It remains to be seen whether they can convince Tottenham to accept a reasonable fee for the Spaniard this summer.
