La Liga club has an agreement with Tottenham for €60M target; defender will mull over offer

Tottenham Hotspur wants to strengthen its backline this summer, and there are various names linked to the English club.

Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Tottenham could be ready to spend a decent amount of cash on Sevilla FC central defender Jules Koundé. The report states that Tottenham has agreed with Sevilla for the transfer of the 22-year-old.

Di Marzio adds The Premier League side has an offer of €30-million plus Davinson Sánchez on the table. However, before anyone jumps in celebration, there are a few words that Di Marzio throws in there stating that the player will think about the offer.

Now there’s plenty of speculation about what Koundé could be mulling over, and one is UEFA Champions League football. Sevilla finished in fourth place last season, so they’ll be in football’s top competition; meanwhile, Tottenham won’t be.

Koundé has a decision he could try his talents in the Premier League, or the France international might decide to wait to see if another club that will provide him with Champions League football and a higher profile comes in.
