Poch is robustly reiterating the corporate line, that the business model 100% takes priority over the petty desires of the fans.
If this does need translating into a blunter soundbite, then that would be something along the lines of,’ we’re here to make money and you need to learn to cheer that success, not be distracted by mirrors and beads.’
Dangerous barely describes this strategy, and to say stuff like this with microphone in front of you is cavalier at best.
Add to this, we then play Arsenal within a day or so and one could be mistaken for thinking this was some weird dream.

How he has the gall to say Champions League was a dream 5 years ago when we were IN the Champions League before he came is unbelievable.
We were playing in the CL when Pooch arrived. We were in the top four. It was not a dream then it was a reality. We were also in my opinion playing a much more exciting and expansive brand of football. Pooch spun the 5 year project line when he arrived. Now 5 years later he spins the 5- 20 Year project line meaning a project of 15 years. No coach would last 24 hours saying that at a top four club with owners focused on winning. Pooch is scrambling for cover as the myth and reality hits home. He took the enhanced deal in the summer and sucks up his £8.5 million a year and swallowed his being brave comments for more guano. Yet again on the eve of a NLD he throws in the white towel with his loser commentary. He is the perfect patsy for the disease at this club called ENIC. It’s ” all about the glory” is emblazoned at the new I open latrine. I feel sick to my stomach when I hear Pooch talk and recognise the parasitical strategies of our owners. He has helped to make me not even want to view what traditionally has been a massive contest. THFC is not an empty shell without one ounce of authenticity pulsing through its decaying corpse.
I don’t support a football team to help pay off their dept….top 4 has proven to be a means to get more money for ENIC to buy land and build an entertainment venue and lodge..im not having this “bestest” trainman ground bollocks, thats a myth……top 4 has not been a means to take us to the next stage whilst sacrificing cups…
I will agree that we are more consistent under Poch than before and I have more faith we’ll be in the Champs League more often than not under him…and that is an achievement. Of sorts.

I just commented on Maurice’s comments about ‘before us Spurs didn’t compete with Arsenal’ I’ll reiterate, did they not see Redknapps period in charge?? 1 defeat in NLD’s or summin…..still relying on the shit in the 90’s nonsense. These comments are indeed the height of doublethink and spin. No trophy in 20 years. That’s not competing.
