Kane Unlikely To Follow Poch Out The Door

By The Boy -

The threat of Mauricio Pochettino leaving Spurs, to extricate himself from the carnage created by ENIC’s representative on Earth Daniel Levy, feels to be increasing week on week.

What we’re dealing with here are facts opposed to complete speculation.

Out of the Champions League, the repayments for the New Destination™ just became a tougher undertaking.

Failure to get the stadium open before the close of 2018 is just another indicator of the incompetence – yes, big projects run over – but normally those businesses affected aren’t humiliated by prolonged homelessness and these businesses customers aren’t forced to use premises that they loathe at record prices.

Worse yet, Tottenham were the only side in Europe’s top 5 football leagues not to buy a single player in the last transfer window.

Spurs now have more debt than Manchester United.

The Telegraph warned that our players are concerned that Poch’s departure could be inevitable.

Should Pochettino walk, the inevitable fall out would be include an exodus of players.

One man who has no plans to take the first opportunity to jump ship is Kane.

The Harry Hotspur blog understands from a source close to the club that Harry Kane remains resolute and undistracted.

Kane’s relationship with the coaching staff at Spurs is a strong one, however he is so extremely loyal to the club and simply refuses to speculate about a future that doesn’t include being ‘one of our own’.

Harry’s ‘project’ is bigger than a stadium or a manager.

Poch quitting would be obviously be disastrous, however it’s debatable that it would be worse than Kane leaving.

A crumb of comfort admittedly, but passed on in good faith nevertheless.

Honestly – this is great for us, but while we are going up, and staying top 4 he can be happy, but if we start to drop, this may change. A player of his quality must start thinking trophies. Look at Shearer, I bet he regrets being loyal and he won the PL before he stuck to Newcastle.

I have an idea, why dont we run a campaign with photoshop images of “the new destination” and the tagline “the only place for CL football in London this season”, i mean, what could possibly go wrong?

I think you’ll find that Levy and ENIC are not gambling on any aspect of the development that encompasses real estate. Doesn’t matter if it’s social housing or private, they will make their profit all the same.

Social housing and the land purchased to buy build it on costs the same, ENIC build it and someone else pays for it at the end of the day. Possibly even the taxpayer to an extent…

The riots gave levy and co the opportunity to launch their regeneration idea. Forget the plan to safeguard the club for generations to come the plan all along has been to line their pockets. A state of the art stadium, improved transport links funded by tfl whilst all the time they were buying property at rock bottom prices to invest in the new improved Tottenham.
However the political spectrum in harringay has changed and the broadly supportive of spurs plans council has been replaced by a more left leaning council unlikely to be supportive of levy’s social cleansing plan.
However it is the club’s paying fans who are going to pay for this folly

It’s astonishing really when you consider the lack of strengthening of the team. All the money enic invested in these speculative property schemes was generated by poch and the players. Now there’s every chance the council will ensure it’s all gone to waste. (From an enic perspective, that is, since I doubt the intention was ever to plough any of the profits generated back into the football team).

This is an easy stance to take if you cant see the ramifications of losing Poch…then Ericksson, Toby, Jan…no back fill of quality. Kane at a club that creates would be banging in 40+ a season without breaking a sweat. Imagine if he got the chances that fell to Lukaku? and that is a team that are negative. I like that Kane wants to stay, but I fear that is based on the belief that Poch has not made us a top 4 team. He would be crazy to be at a midtable, Europa team when he is 27.

My younger brother (another long suffering Spurs fan) was doing the Wild Atlantic Way in the West of Ireland during the summer with is bird. He stayed a night in Letterfrack, Galway where Harry’s Grandparents are from and went for a few pints in the local boozer which he said was basically a shrine to Harry. The walls are adorned with numerous signed shirts (including England ones!!) They are very proud of his Irish blood in those parts and the pub were offering a free pint for every goal he scored during the WC (It was on the RTE news there too) Out boy delivered in spades so they love him even more now! Anyway according to a few of the local barflies who know his grandparents, Harry will NEVER ask to leave Spurs. Word is he loves the club too much and is incredibly loyal.

So it appears Harry is one of our own and one their own. He’s got more owners than Carlos Tevez : )

The ENIC regentrification of Haringay project is the only project in town and Pooch is being left on the margins to manage the irritation of football matters. With all the time Levy must be giving to setting up new companies to create tax shelters for Uncle Joe no wonder we never brought anyone in this summer and no wonder he lost control of the latrine project. Football is right at the bottom of the pile and a Pooch knows that even when the stadium opens it will remain there whilst all eyes turn to the hotels and housing. Strangely money for buying property seems a plenty and a no prizes for guessing where that comes from. Pooch is wriggling under the spotlight of having to win something to sustain his stock as a coach and see’s before him a barren wilderness of many years upon which will lay the carcass remains of his career. If Pooch can see the true vision of the “project” then so can the players and their agents. This puts contract extensions in their correct context of just inflating sell on values for ENIC and the players benefit. ENIC is like a cancer cell now reaching Stage 4 of its growth at the heart of our great club.

An interesting article in the guardian yesterday regarding the number of properties spurs have bought around the ground including £14m for the old sainsbury site.
These are owned by a company where Levy and another Spurs director are running and this is owned by an off shore (Bahamas)based company that also owns Thfc.
The upshot is Haringey council are going to redevelop this area but under a compulsory purchase scheme that will end up in council houses, hence little or no money to be made.
levy and Lewis are playing a massive gamble to make themselves seriously rich on the back of spurs and it could backfire easily and screw spurs up just like Scholar did.
