Kane replacement considering switching to Gareth Bale’s old agency

Ivan Toney in action

The transfer saga surrounding Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has led the club to consider potential replacements, and one name that has reportedly caught their attention is Brentford’s Ivan Toney.

Currently serving a ban imposed by the FA due to betting-related charges, Toney’s availability on the pitch will be limited until mid-January 2024.

However, despite the ban, The Sun reports that the striker is considering changing his agent and hiring the CAA Stellar agency.

CAA Stellar Agency is well-known for representing some of football’s biggest names, including the likes of Jack Grealish, Eduardo Camavinga, and former Tottenham superstar Gareth Bale.

This move could suggest that Toney has ambitions for a big move in the future.

While replacing Harry Kane will undoubtedly be a challenge, Ivan Toney has already showcased his talent in the Premier League, which could make him an intriguing signing for Spurs.

The 27-year-old striker has displayed impressive form at Brentford over the years and has garnered interest from other top clubs like Spurs as well as Manchester United and Chelsea, according to The Sun’s report.

Should Harry Kane indeed depart from Tottenham, the club might consider Toney as a potential option to strengthen their attacking options.

Another name under consideration in Lille’s Jonathan David. According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, Spurs believe that David would be available for a reasonable fee, estimated to be around €50 million to €55 million.

While Tottenham would prefer to retain Kane, they are prepared to explore the option of signing Jonathan David in more detail in the coming days.

Toney’s suspension might have an impact on any immediate plans of a move which is why a move for him this summer may be unlikely.
