Harry Kane Lets Slip One Clue In His Latest Interview

By The Boy -

It’s very easy to read what you want to read. I recall in my years in the rag trade we would price up the mannequins in the window. Suit £ xxx, shirt £ xx, tie £ xx, and you could guarantee that at least one punter would pop in and say they’d like to try the suit on – then pass out when they discovered it wasn’t the price of the shirt.

This interview with Harry is from today’s Standard, and his quotes towards the end of the conversation suggest he has no intentions of playing abroad. He can’t take on Alan Shearer or anyone else if he’s in sunny Spain or Ligue 1. So this might be worth factoring in, for those seeking to construct fabulous swap deals or whatnot.

This is going to be a long summer when it eventually arrives, and the Harry Kane transfer will dominate the headlines. No matter what ‘stance’ Mr. Levy might adopt, the market will decide the price and nobody else. My money is firmly on Manchester City.

Possibly Pep has evolved a way of playing that renders a “striker” as such superfluous, and City may continue as they are with the goals coming from all over the team. Five players getting 12-15 goals per season beats one player getting 30. There is no reliance on one superhero to carry the team, and the constant worry that he will be injured or lose form.
Aguero has scored one PL goal this season; City just haven’t missed him once they worked out how to deal with his absence a few weeks into the season.

If he can score 20 plus goals for us in a season how many would he get for City?
Given that City might rotate him as they have a big squad and to save him for the important games I reckon he would score over the season a goal a game.

Kane at Citeh. Kane would be at a club worthy of his talent and with the ambition and money to win everything. Citeh with Kane would be terrifying. Us without Kane doesn’t even bear thinking about. I suppose we could use the money to buy up another large lump of Haringey.

I can see a situation coming where Kane leaves; and we struggle to find any decent player or coach willing to damage their career by joining us. Surely then, Levy and ENIC’s tenure will breathe it’s last breath 🤞

He’ll go to City. Why ? Probably the only club who can afford to buy him. Probably the only club who can pay the wages he’ll command. Probably the only club that can almost guarantee silverware in his first season. Probably the only club he’s likely to beat Shearers record.

Does Pep really want him in his side? Would The Abu Dhabi money pay for him?

Hi John and I think i sense a bit of sarcasim in your message abobe, but do you really think that Aguero would want to play for Spurs (even given his age) and after a very succesful career with other clubs. I doubt he would want to lower his standards especially when he realizes that he will be playing with the likes of Winks, Sissoko etc. and I would’nt blame him. Then again he could come to Spurs but I nthink we would need to move all that deadwood lying around first. 🙂 🙂

I do enjoy watching City, love how they play and Kane would be great for them. Pep would manage him properly and they could be scary good with Kane in the team.

Bonzo is moments away from winning his 9th.or10th. trophy with City when this season ends.Remind me again why he left us for that rabble.
Certainly Kane must wonder.

Painful to think what might have happened on Sunday if Harry had actually been playing for them! A thank you for small mercies.

Man City haven’t really got a striker! Amazing, isn’t it? How lovely it would be if we just needed a striker and unlimited funds to go and find one.
