Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has been linked with a move back to his former club Juventus.
The Italian giants are looking to bring in a quality replacement for Gleison Bremer, who has been linked with an exit from the club. The Brazilian could be on his way out and Juventus are looking to bring in adequate replacements.
According to Pierfrancesco Vecchiotti, Dragusin is viewed as the “most appealing” option for the Italian club. The 22-year-old Romanian has struggled for regular game time at Tottenham since joining the club at the start of 2024. It will be interesting to see if Juventus can convince the London club to sell the player.
Vecchiotti said: “The names studied by Giuntoli are many and among these, that of Radu Dragusin stands out. The Romanian defender seems to be the most appealing solution because he already knows the Juventus environment well, having grown up with the next-gen, and more generally knows the Italian championship.
Dragusin will be desperate for regular game time and he needs to leave Tottenham if they cannot provide him with gametime assurances. Sitting on the bench at this stage of his career is unlikely to benefit him. The Romanian has proven his quality in Italian football and he could be the ideal long-term investment for Juventus.
Furthermore, the defender has played for the Italian club in the past, and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an instant impact. Moving back to Italy could help him get his career back on track.
It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to sanction his departure. They are already lacking in depth in the central defensive unit and letting the Romanian leave could prove to be a mistake. They will need to bring in multiple defensive reinforcements before they can sanction his exit.
