Juve has a scheme to land midfielder Tottenham is crazy for as striker target sees asking price increased

Tottenham Hotspur wants to continue fixing their midfield despite the additions of Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr. The next move would be for manager Antonio Conte and Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici to find that player who anchors the group.

A few days ago, a report surfaced linking Spurs to Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The Italian media outlet stated that Conte and Paratici are crazy about the Serbian, but a lot will depend on whether or not the north London club enters the top four.

Milinkovic-Savic wants UEFA Champions League football, which is why Juventus is looking to use that as leverage to keep the 27-year-old in Serie A. The Turin-based club hopes to get ahead of the competition in the race to sign Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

Calciomercato reports that Juventus intends to offer Nicolo Fagioli as part of the deal as they are aware that Maurizio Sarri has been impressed by the midfielder’s performances.

Now, the midfield isn’t the only position of priority; finding someone that can help in the scoring department will be an area of need to help compliment the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Spurs have scouted and been connected to one player is Benfica’s Darwin Núñez, who is wanted by many clubs across Europe, which is why the Portuguese giants plan to squeeze out a little more.

The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that Benfica is looking for a transfer fee of €70-million; however, Mundo Deportivo reports that now they want €80-million to part ways with the 22-year-old, who has scored 33 goals in 38 appearances so far this season.
