Journalist says 28-year-old PL ace could be tempted to join Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The 28-year-old has been a key player for Everton since joining the club from Sunderland and he has been linked with a move to the London club in recent weeks.

Tottenham are looking for a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris, and the Everton star could prove to be a quality acquisition.

Pickford has done well for club and country over the last few seasons and he could make an immediate impact at the London club if he joins them.

According to Dean Jones from Give Me Sport, the England international could be tempted to join Tottenham if the Londoners come calling with a concrete offer.

A move to Spurs would allow the England international to experience Champions League football and it would be the ideal step up in his career right now.

Lloris has a contract with Spurs until the summer of 2024, but his form has been quite inconsistent in recent months.

The French international has been heavily criticised for his error-prone displays, and Antonio Conte should look to replace him as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.

Lloris is still an important part of the Tottenham dressing room, but he is more suited to the role of a squad player now.

It will be interesting to see if Conte can bring in a quality goalkeeper at the end of the season.

They have been linked with a number of players in recent months and it will be interesting to see who comes in at the end of the season. Pickford is unlikely to be a cheap option for Tottenham and Everton will demand a premium for his services. Daniel Levy might need to break the bank for his signature.
