José Will Need Nous & Luck If Spurs Are To Gewinnen Tonight

My thanks to The Whistle Blow’s Peter Faulkner

Morgen alle: Großer Tag! It only seems like yesterday that we began tramping that long, dusty road to Madrid last year. And it also appears that nothing has changed.

We are still winning games with heart-stopping dramas, by the skin of our teeth or with last-minute goals. Some say that a team, and especially the manager, has to have luck; well, judging by Arsenal, and particularly Arsene Wenger during his reign, there may be some truth to that. Lady luck was certainly on our side in last season’s Champion’s League Campaign, furthermore, the Man City and Ajax results attest to that.

Let’s also be honest and say that there is no doubting that José Mourinho often seems as if he has a Fairy Godmother watching his back at times as well.

However, it will be because of his uncanny ability to out-think and out-psyche the opposition that I foresee Spurs gaining a positive goal difference to take to Leipzig n the second leg, and I am expecting a cracker of a game tonight.

I also predict that a new hero could well emerge from within our ranks [possibly one of the new boys]. Spurs and midweek European football are a magical combination, so our watchword is…. mit nous und glück gewinnen.

COYS!
