José Reveals He Can Only Rest One Player Against Middlesbrough [video]

José Mourinho calmly acknowledged that Spurs are “not powerful enough” to compete on all three fronts, with his current squad. These next few weeks will be less about respecting competitions and more about hanging in there.

Our only player that can be shuffled out of the pack after the Liverpool game is Toby Alderweireld. Now, this may grate with some, but Pochettino wouldn’t have been this transparent.

The Argentine would’ve waited to be asked just before kick off and passed some glib remark about only being able to pick 11 players. With José, we get the truth, the player doesn’t lose face, and we all move on.

So far we might take a 21yr old and Llorente on loan. Is this a serious attempt to repair the chairman’s neglect? I am more and more of the opinion that once Levy has succeeded in getting the naming rights to the stadium, we are for sale. The money from the naming rights will finance the interest charge on the 650 mill loan. It is impossible to offer any other explanation for the neglect and ineptitude that Levy has displayed on the team.

Looks like gedson Fernandez is happening. I know he central midfielder, seen him a few times but is he really the DMF we need? Thought he always looked a closer match to Ndombele ball carrying type.

Would make for a good Harry hotspur article, Levy’s hit rate in signings( Mr Fish are you listening). I’m in no doubt Levy has the biggest say, remember Poch saying contracts were nothing to do with him, he wasn’t the manager just the coach.

Not certain but is Poch not on the record as saying the one team he wouldn’t manage is Barca, him being an ex Espagnole player and manager?

It will amuse me greatly if Barca appoint Poch, then he might win some silverware.
Interesting article on FourFourTwo today about our need for a DoF. It called out Levy’s poor record in the transfer market and stated that we needed to someone to oversee this side of the business who knows what he was doing. Some of the MSM have turned against Levy with particular emphasis on the Telegraph writing about his incompetence in football matters. My feeling is this will continue despite Donna Cullen’s best efforts to spin “what a remarkable job” Levy is doing. Their efforts to leak our transfer targets in the Press like Koulibaly are pathetic.

Suppose it tells us who Jose thinks his most important player is.
