John Terry thinks Tottenham star could look to leave the club

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was linked with a move to Bayern Munich during the summer transfer window.

However, the Premier League giants managed to keep him at the club and he has been in red-hot form this season. The 29-year-old striker has scored 12 goals in 15 Premier League matches so far this season and he is bound to be linked with top clubs at the end of the season as well.

A player of his quality deserves to play at the highest level and former Premier League star John Terry believes that Kane could look to leave Tottenham in search of trophies.

The former Chelsea captain revealed on beIN Sports that Kane is unlikely to win trophies with Tottenham, even if he stayed at the club for a number of years. The former England international believes that he must join a bigger club in order to win the major trophies.

He said: “I think he’s got ambitions to go and win trophies. He’s clearly not going to win trophies playing at Spurs, is he? Whether that’s for four, five, six (more) years.

“Any chance I can have a pop at Spurs, I will, but let’s be honest with ourselves, he’s one of the best strikers in the world. He wants to win trophies, he wants to play for the best and biggest teams.

“Spurs are not that, Spurs are not going to give him trophies. He wants to finish his career with some trophies.”

The player has been linked with Manchester City in the past, and it will be interesting to see if a top club is willing to come forward with an offer for the England international at the end of the season.

Kane is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world right now, and he would be an exceptional addition for any team in world football.

With the player’s contract expiring in 2025, Tottenham could be under pressure to make a decision regarding his future, if the player does not sign an extension with them.
